UPDATE OR REPORT

Aldridge Teacher of the Year for 2011 – 2012 is Mary Ann Beard. Mrs. Beard has been teaching 2nd grade for 25 years, 17 of those years here at Aldridge Elementary School! She has a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Southeastern Oklahoma, a Masters of Education from the University of North Texas as well as Gifted and Talented Certification.

Mrs. Beard has served on the SBIC, as a mentor to new teachers, and a cooperative teacher for student teachers. She has been honored with a PTA Lifetime Membership and was a recipient of the PISD Educational Foundation Grant Award.

All three of Mrs. Beard’s children graduated from Plano Senior High School. She has served as camp counselor, volunteer, and a committee member in many organizations and schools throughout their journey through Plano schools.
