Welcome to Barksdale Elementary, home of the Barksdale Broncos! At Barksdale, we continually strive to provide the best education for children. You will not find a more dedicated group of teachers. The staff is supportive of each child’s needs and will go that extra mile to ensure student success. As an educator, it has been an honor and privilege of making the difference in the lives of children for the past 19 years. I have a true passion for watching kids discover the joy of education.

Prior to becoming a principal, I served as the assistant principal at Barksdale for two years and one year at Betty Haun, Huffman and Rose Haggar Elementary. My husband and I have two children; Avery, who is a third grader and Cole who will start kindergarten in Frisco ISD. They are the joy of my life! Every administrative decision I make, I focus on what I would want for my own children. It’s my hope that all students love coming to school and enjoy learning!

As we enter a new school year, I look forward to your continued involvement in the school community. Please join PTA, become an eNews member, and communicate effectively with your child’s teacher. Community involvement is a key component in making a school great! My door is always open if you have questions or concerns. Through team work, we will develop a school atmosphere that strives to reach new heights in learning for ALL children, as well as make positive differences in the life of each Barksdale Bronco!
