Hello Davis Dolphins! My name is Kevin Kennedy and I am proud to be the Assistant Principal at Davis Elementary. This is my 19th year in public education here in Plano. Prior to becoming an administrator, I taught sixth and eighth grade history at Robinson Middle School. My administrative experience is a little unique in that I have had the pleasure of serving as an administrator on nine different PISD campuses: Hendrick, Wilson, Rice, and Frankford Middle Schools along with Weatherford, Mathews, Mitchell, Wyatt, and Hightower Elementary Schools.

I received my undergraduate degree in history and English from Texas A & M University. I then went on to receive my Masters in Education through the PISD Masters Program at the University of North Texas followed by my administrative certification at Texas Woman’s University.

My wife and I are both native Texans with family ties to the area going back five generations. I am also native to Plano. We live in Allen with our beautiful daughters Tessa (12) and Lily (9) along with our spoiled and adorable dog, Phoebe, and a rabbit, Peanut. Education runs in my family with multiple cousins, aunts, uncles, and a brother all retired or currently in the profession.

I am excited about the opportunity to work with your family while here at Davis. My door is always open to you. I look forward to meeting you during the upcoming year. I am always amazed at the resiliency, creativity, humor, and excitement that children possess regardless of their circumstances. They never cease to remind me of the wonderful gift we have as educators in working with them day in and day out. It is my goal to treat everyone with respect while also bringing out the best in themselves as we continue to achieve our dreams while setting new and higher personal and collective goals.
