Course Description: The eSchool Health course introduces students to the health information and skills necessary to become healthy adults and learn about behaviors in which they should and should not participate.

Students should first seek guidance in the area of health from their parents, personal behaviors can increase or reduce health risks throughout the lifespan, and health is influenced by a variety of factors. Students will develop skills that will make them health-literate adults. Students gain a deeper understanding of the knowledge and behaviors they use to safeguard their health, particularly pertaining to health risks. Modern health problems will be covered including diseases and disorders and medicines and drugs.

Students will explore the changes that take place in the body during adolescence and adulthood, including the role of an individual’s social responsibility as it affects his/her relationships with others. The importance of appropriate human sexuality and abstinence in an individual’s overall well-being will be investigated.
