Pre-Registration Procedures

All GED candidates taking the test for the FIRST time are required to complete the online GED Demographic Form before you call to pre-register for the GED tests. If you have not done your online demographic, you will not be on the pre-registration list.

Please log on to the following website: http://www.utk16.org/scoring
(You will be asked to input a test center code on page 4. The PISD code is 1560.)
Once your online GED demographic record is complete, you can register in person at the Plano ISD GED Test Center. Bring your UTEID and password with you to the test center.
The GED Demographic Form is a method for GED test-takers to create their own online record in The University of Texas at Austin (UT) GED database.

***Pre-Registration by Telephone – Tuesdays from 1:30-3:30

At this time please remember that all GED test centers are very busy on pre-registration days and you must be patient. Someone is answering the telephone between 1:30-3:30 pm… There is one phone line. There is one person answering calls. If you get a voicemail, hang up and call back. Keep calling until you speak to an Examiner.

Only people who have officially Pre-Registered and are on the list will be admitted. All others will be turned away at the door.

Please see the Registration Schedule for pre-registration dates. You MUST speak to an Examiner (NO voicemail messages) or you will not be on the pre-registration list. You must have a current picture ID (TX driver’s license or state ID) military ID, Matricula or Passport. Please have online demographic completed by new testers and access to a $100 money order or retesters $25 per GED test. If you are 17 years old, you must have the completed TEA parental approval and TEA school withdrawal form. (Both forms are online on this website.)

***Please remember your pre-registration spot on Registration days will only be held until 8:10 am. If you do not show up in time for registration, you forfeit your spot and must telephone register AGAIN for a future date.
