The athletic period at Haggard is designed to help prepare students for school sports and as a practice period for a player currently involved in a school sport. Students signing up for an athletic period should be prepared for more strenuous activity than in a typical physical education course. Students should also be aware that in some instances, making a team is a requisite to participation in the athletic period. A current physical signed by a physician must be on campus prior to a student trying out for a team or participating in practice. There are no tryouts for football and track.
