UPDATE OR REPORT

Awards

Haun won the CREST Award for Counseling Excellence again for 2010..... Way to go Marjorie.
Haun was named a NCEA Higher Performing School for growth and commended scores in math.
Haun recently received the highest award the state gives; The Texas Business and Education Coalition (TBEC) Honor Roll School Award. This award is also based on consistently high TAKS commended scores.

Teacher of the Year 2010-2011

Experienced Teacher of the year is our wonderful Music teacher, Liz Hunziker.
Beginning Teacher of the year is our outstanding, Jennifer Stewart.

Recognitions

Mathematical Association Of American recognizes Haun Elementary as a School of Merit for outstanding proficiency on the American Mathematics Contest 8 exam for 2010.
Haun is one of 27 schools from across the state to win the CREST Award for Counseling Excellence for for 2009. This award recognizes schools with outstanding counseling programs. CREST stands for Counselors Reinforcing Excellence for Students in Texas. Schools receiving CREST awards have demonstrated a commitment using the school guidance and counseling program to improve the lives and achievement of students in academic, career, and personal social domains. Haun congratulates our awesome counselor, Marjorie Edge, for a job well done.
