UPDATE OR REPORT

The Learning Network @ Plano ISD is the theme for the 2010-13 technology plan update. The 2010-13 technology plan update was provided to the Board of Trustees at the May 18, 2010 meeting. The responsibility for authoring the technology plan is given to the PISD Technology Steering Committee. For this most current revision, the steering committee used an inclusive process involving large group meetings, focus group discussion sessions, campus-based discussions with students and staff and a variety of online information gathering techniques. More detailed information on the process used is available for your review.

The most powerful networks in existence today do not consist of simply cables and computers. The most universal and indispensable network on the planet is the human network in Plano ISD that supports student learning. Our students, teachers, administrators, support staff, parents and the entire community connect via personal and digital resources to support and enhance the learning opportunities for all. Our goal in planning for the use of technology resources continues to have our students and teachers meet their learning challenges today using the tools of tomorrow.
