UPDATE OR REPORT

Trailblazing through our inaugural year, the McMillen Lions are focused on the development of collaborative learning experiences for students and staff. Collaborative learning experiences involve students and the teacher working together to problem solve and make meaning together. In addition to learning from one another, it is our goal to foster civic responsibility in the process of working together. Additionally, our students use portable technology tools in these collaborative settings. Again, our purpose is twofold- cultivate advanced research skills as well as the development of digital citizenship. Given the rapidly changing 21st century job market, we want to prepare students to be high achievers AND develop keen skills for effective work relationships. Sincerely, George King, Principal
