Adrienne Platts --Team Leader adrienne.platts@pisd.edu

Ms. Platts graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and has teaching certifications in General Education, Special Education, and English as a Second Language. She has been teaching at Schell since it opened and loves the school, staff, and students! She has two cats (Cali and Tex) and enjoys spending time with her adorable 2-year-old nephew, Braylen. She loves reading, running, yoga, and the Denver Broncos!

Cherilyn Diewald cherilyn.diewald@pisd.edu

Mrs. Diewald graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a degree in Communications. After a career in the business world, she began working with students with autism at a private school. Encouraged to get her teaching certificate, she went back to school and earned her certification in Special Education. She began her teaching career at Jackson Elementary in Plano and moved to Schell when it opened. Since arriving at Schell, Mrs. Diewald has taught special education for Kindergarten, First, Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth grades and has obtained her ESL certification. In 2010, Mrs. Diewald earned her Master’s Degree in Education from the University of North Texas. In her time away from school, Mrs. Diewald spends her time with her husband raising their three teenagers, who all attend Plano schools. She also has a dog (Izzy), a cat (Emma), a lizard (Pythagoras) and a corn snake (Slither). She also likes visiting her first home….Northwest Oklahoma and the family farm.

Jennifer Rutledge

Ms. Rutledge graduated from LeTourneau University in Longview, TX with a degree in Elementary Education. This is her first year at Schell Elementary, and loves it! She previously was a full-time substitute at Schell from February – May, and taught at The Crisman School in Longview, TX for a year and a half. She has a dog named Piper. Ms. Rutledge’s favorite book is To Kill a Mockingbird by Haper Lee.

Karen Daniel

Ms. Daniel graduated from Bauder College with a degree in fashion marketing. Following a career in retail management she returned to school and completed her degree in psychology from Dallas Baptist University. She has teaching certifications in Special Education, General Education and English as a Second Language. Working in Plano ISD for ten years, Ms. Daniel has been blessed to work at Schell since the school opened and has taught Fifth Grade, First Grade, Second Grade and Kindergarten in a resource setting. Her daughter is a graduate of Plano East HS and is currently attending the University of North Texas (Go Mean Green!). Together they love to travel and spend time at the barn with Louie V, their Appaloosa horse. Ms. Daniel’s favorite leisure activities include hiking, biking and playing Frisbee with her dogs Bella, Zelda and Lucky. Her cat CoCo loves a rainy day because it means they will curl up together on the couch with a good book!

Macy Beedy

Mrs. Beedy did her undergraduate studies at Abilene Christian University and graduated with her Master’s degree in Communication Disorders (Speech-Language Pathology) from the University of Texas at Dallas. She has been the Speech-Language Pathologist at Schell Elementary for three years and loves it! Her favorite part of being a Schell Coyote is all the awesome students she gets to work with. She has a husband named Kevin and a puppy named Zoe. In her free time, Mrs. Beedy loves to take Zoe to the dog park, exercise, cook, go to the movies, play with her nieces, and read. She especially loves books by Jodi Picoult and James Patterson.
