The mission of the Vines High Library is to promote life-long learning and literacy through exposure to print and electronic resources and digital media in a collaborative learning environment.

Library Book Club
There is strong interest among the student body for a book club each year. The library is happy to sponsor the club. The goal of the book club is to meet once a month in a relaxed environment (the library) to discuss books. The books are self-selected by the students and cover a variety of genres and Dewey sections in our library. There are no dues for being a part of this club and we meet during lunch so our members do not worry about getting to school early or staying late. We perform one service project a year – a book drive, of course! All proceeds go to the Friends of the Plano Public Library or to the Plano Retired Teachers’ Association’s “Gift a Book Program.” Students, consider joining. We always have loads of fun!

The spring semester scheduled meetings are as follows:
February 6th (Divergent by Veronica Roth)
March 6th (Divergent by Veronica Roth (plan a promotion))
April 3rd (Poetry)
May 1st (Student’s choice)
June 5th (End of Semester party)
Dec 9 – 13th Book Drive
December 18th Social; After final exams end
